The GOAL App is your ultimate companion for staying completely informed about live football scores on a global scale. It goes beyond mere score updates, offering an array of features such as breaking news, in-depth tournament coverage, exclusive interviews, and much more. Originally known as Total Football and developed by MultiDev, the project underwent a significant transformation, reemerging as the GOAL App. This change was driven by the need for logo and screen adjustments to comply with a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

The GOAL App stands as a haven for ardent football enthusiasts across the world. It takes pride in providing real-time match updates and comprehensive insights into the dynamic football universe. The journey of crafting this remarkable app embarked in 2018, catalyzed by Raj from MultiDev. Their aim was to revamp the existing app, Total Football, which was already available on the Play Store.

The design process kicked off by meticulously crafting user personas and hypothetical scenarios. This strategic step aimed to enrich the application's overall usability by aligning it more closely with user needs and expectations. Subsequently, wireframes were meticulously constructed, setting the stage for a thoughtful comparison with the app's existing screens. This comparative analysis unearthed valuable insights, steering the direction towards integrating new screens seamlessly into the user experience flow.

Personas & Scenarios

Three personas were considered, each representing diverse segments of society: a student, a businessman owning a sports store, and a betting enthusiast. These personas, hailing from various demographics and cultures, shared a common passion for football.

Scenarios were instrumental in the initial guerrilla testing phase. Tailored scenarios aligned with each persona's daily activities were crafted to assess the app's accessibility and speed. This approach allowed us to measure the impact of newly introduced features and screens effectively.

Wireframing

Once the personas articulated the requirements and pain points, I embarked on crafting the wireframes. Abundant materials, including the existing screens, provided substantial resources. Each screen's content had to be dynamic, responding to sports behavior—an intriguing challenge I tackled.

Visual Designing

With the wireframes finalized, I transitioned into the design and prototyping phase. Typography and color themes were honed through multiple drafting rounds in collaboration with the client. Given the sports nature, abundant data posed design opportunities and challenges. Striking a visually appealing balance was pivotal. The payoff came as glowing feedback from both clients and users, affirming the success of the designs.
