In Lollypop, projects started to roll in one after the other, marking an essential feature of our agency culture that enabled us to engage in multiple projects within a short span of time. One such new project was named "UrbanKisaan." UrbanKisaan is a farming company with a strong focus on sustainable agriculture, harnessing hydroponic and vertical farming technologies to tackle global farming challenges. Through the establishment of hyper-local urban farms, they aimed to create a fully transparent supply chain while maintaining a low carbon footprint.
The project's primary objective was to develop an online delivery application, allowing users to place orders directly with the farmers, eliminating intermediaries. This app had two versions—one for customers and another for farmers. Customers could effortlessly order fruits, vegetables, and other groceries directly from the farmers by selecting their preferred farm and farmer.
In addition to these features, there was an intriguing aspect called "community buying," which enabled customers to join forces in their purchases, unlocking various perks and offers. The project proved to be both engaging and enlightening, offering us valuable insights into the organic farming domain during the research phase.
Our journey kicked off with stakeholder interviews and competitor analysis, which were followed by the wireframing phase. After finalizing the wireframes, we seamlessly transitioned into the UI design stage and successfully completed the UI design for the customer-facing screens.
Before we could commence work on the screens for the farmer app, the project unexpectedly came to a halt. The UrbanKisaan team had to terminate the project due to internal reasons. Nevertheless, this project remains one of the most enriching experiences I've had, allowing me to gain extensive knowledge about this domain and its challenges.
